SPRINGFIELD, IL - On Thursday, State Senator Michael Frerichs
(D-Champaign) welcomed Miss Illinois County Fair Queen Molly Reeves to
Springfield. Miss Reeves spoke to the Senate Chamber about the
importance of agriculture to Illinois. Miss Reeves serves through the
Illinois Department of Agriculture as the official hostess of the
Illinois and DuQuoin State Fairs. Her address to the Senate Chamber on
Agriculture Day in Springfield was part of her official duties. Molly
Reeves is from Danville and won the title of Miss Illinois County Fair
Queen after winning the Georgetown Fair.
"I was happy to welcome Miss Illinois County Fair Queen Molly Reeves and
her family to the Capitol," said Senator Frerichs. "I am honored to have
the Illinois County Fair Queen come from my district. I know she will
do a great job representing our area and promoting agriculture."
